Nod to Death
This piece represents the essence of my original concept; to use what we think of as “compost” to capture the beauty of the debris we discard. Textures and forms of waste, celebrate the beauty of decay. Fruit, vegetable, and meat scraps remind us that life’s ephemerality can also be amusing. Nod to Death is a reminder that existence might be fleeting, but have no doubt, it can be approached with a wink, appreciating the absurdity in life’s inevitable transitions.
